If you are the Quote agent, this will guide you on how to draw up a quote for the client


How to do a quote:


  • Step 1: Create a quote with the info provided
  • Step 2: Send the quote
  • Step 3: Update the ticket fields


Step 1: Create a quote with the info provided

  • On Winfreight, find the Weybill Entry menu option, at the top left of the screen
  • Select the Process / Bill / Quote option from the dropdown
  • Next to the waybill number box, there are 2 circles named Waybill and Quote, respectively. Select the Quote circle.
  • Complete the following fields:
    1. From Name
    2. Area to collect from
    3. Bill Account
    4. To name
    5. Area to deliver to
    6. Service Code
    7. Dims (using the dims button)
  • To complete the dims field, click on the dims button and complete the pop-up window:
    1. Items - is how many units we are moving
    2. Length - is the length of the items (always in cm)
    3. Width - is the width of the items (always in cm)
    4. Height - is the width of the items (always in cm) 
    5. Weight - is the combined weight of the units.
  • Click on the green arrow between unit types
  • Click on the Exit button
  • Click on the Calculate button
  • Click on the Save Quote button and save to a destination on the server or cloud


Step 2: Send the quote

  • Reply to the client using the quotes Canned Response. 
  • Attach the quote to the canned response and send.


Step 3: Update the ticket fields

  • Update the ticket fields accordingly, with the quote number from Winfreight
  • Update the status to Resolved
