How to create a child ticket
- Step 1: Navigate to and expand the toolbar
- Step 2: Use the Parent/Child tab
- Step 3: Assign the correct ticket properties to the new ticket
Step 1: Navigate to and expand the toolbar
- On the far right of the page find the toolbar
- Click on the expand button
Step 2: Use the Parent/Child tab
- Scroll down to and click the Parent/Child menu
- Select the Create A Child Ticket option
Step 3: Assign the correct ticket properties to the new ticket
- Change the ticket properties to correspond to the new ticket query
- Resolve the original ticket if appropriate
Foot Note:
- The Parent ticket cannot be closed unless the Child ticket.
- This feature helps in the event that you want several agents to receive the same ticket - such as a report, or if you don't have access to the split function.
