How to create a child ticket


  • Step 1: Navigate to and expand the toolbar
  • Step 2: Use the Parent/Child tab
  • Step 3: Assign the correct ticket properties to the new ticket 


Step 1: Navigate to and expand the toolbar

  • On the far right of the page find the toolbar
  • Click on the expand button


Step 2: Use the Parent/Child tab

  • Scroll down to and click the Parent/Child menu
  • Select the Create A Child Ticket option


Step 3: Assign the correct ticket properties to the new ticket

  • Change the ticket properties to correspond to the new ticket query
  • Resolve the original ticket if appropriate


Foot Note:
  1. The Parent ticket cannot be closed unless the Child ticket.
  2. This feature helps in the event that you want several agents to receive the same ticket - such as a report, or if you don't have access to the split function.
